Our Story: A Heritage of Silk
Docsun Home and Living was co-founded by two university friends, Sophie and Grace, both from families with a long history in the silk industry. Both families became involved in the silk business in China in the early 20th century, building experience in fabric weaving, printing, craftsmanship, trading and retail.
Building on this heritage, we founded DOCSUN with a clear vision: to become a global pioneer in silk technology. We are inspired by the beauty and potential of silk, and we want to bring this ancient material into a brighter future.
Sophie is based at our headquarters in China. Our Chinese site (www.docsunhomeandliving.com) operates an R&D centre, a pattern design department, a printing workshop, a silk fabric weaving base, and three production bases for woven and knitted garments.
Grace is based in the UK. Our UK office works closely with the headquarters on marketing, communication and product development. It also runs a wholesale shop for small retailers in the UK and internationally.
Co-inspired by nature and technology, we are continually working to improve and create new silk products that bring practical beauty, comfort and value to customers around the world.

Global Wholesale & Manufacturing Capability
Our main site in China operates an R&D centre, a pattern design department, a printing workshop, a silk fabric weaving base, and three production bases for woven and knitted garments. The UK office works closely with the headquarters on marketing, communication and product development, and also runs a wholesale shop for small retailers in the UK and internationally.
Our own workshops, together with our long-term manufacturing partners, form a production network of more than 300 staff across over 10,000 square metres of working space.
