The Founders
Docsun Home and Living was co-founded by two old uni friends, Sophie and Grace, both descendants of silk families with a long and distinguished history.
Each of our family began engaging in the silk business in China during the early 20th Century, developing great expertise in fabric weaving, printing, and craftsmanship, as well as trading and retailing.
Building on this heritage, we founded DOCSUN with a clear vision - to become a global pioneer in silk technology. We are deeply impressed by the charm of silk and would like to bring this ancient material into a brighter future.
Sophie is based in our headquarter in China. Our Chinese site (www.docsunhomeandliving.com) operates an R&D centre, a pattern design department, a printing workshop, a silk fabric weaving base, and three production bases for woven and knitted garments.
Grace is based in the UK. Our UK office works closely with the headquarter in terms of marketing, communication and product development. It also runs a wholesale shop for small retailers in the UK and internationally.
Co-inspired by nature and technology, we are consistently working on to improve and create new silk products to benefit more people and influence their lifestyle all around the world.

Our own workshops, together with our long term cooperated manufacturers, have added up to a team with 300+ staff in over 10000 square metre workshops.
